If you hadn’t been paying attention to Apple’s leaked new iPhone information just before the Sept 7th event or speculations even before that, you probably want to know what is new with the Apple’s all new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus; and plus the new AirPods, updated Apple Watch and more.
iPhone 7 features
New iPhone comes in two flavors, actually two names like the usual announcement, namely iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Let’s make things superficial over here for quick features of iPhone 7.
- Same same different iPhone: The new iPhone 7 pretty much looks like the previous iPhone 6 and 6S.
- iPhone 7 is completely water-resistant.
- Has a capacitative home button.
- Comes in new colors for the lovers (choose iPhone 7 in silver, gold, rose gold, black and even blacker black – well, that’s the Apple’s proposition about the iPhone coloration and is probably the next new thing happened to iPhone!)
- iPhone 7 has new A10 processor
- Has extremely high screen resolution
- Apple removed the headphone jack
- Has new cameras (12 Megapixel cameras) – the biggest different that iPhone does so far being the most popular and used cameras. iPhone Plus 7 also has a second camera called “telephoto” which allows users to zoom in manually. Need to check how much it’s worth using.
- iPhone 7 battery – Apple doesn’t guarantees but says new iPhone 7 battery should be better than iPhone 6S and 6S Plus (2 hours longer than 6S in iPhone 7 and 1 hour longer than 6S plus in 7 Plus.) iPhone as always are notoriously power hungry as we all plug-in to the sockets or carry around (power) juice boxes.
- iPhone 7 storage variant: 32 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB storage (Sorry not 64 GB version of iPhone 7 in here)
- iPhone costs – let’s not talk about it here, as Nepal will probably see iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus only after few months. Nepal still doesn’t have any Apple authorized distributors however we can expect either bundled from Ncell iPhone or Oliz stores.
AirPods
Well, these are Apple’s new wireless earbud released to completely remove traditional headphones.
- What’s interesting about AirPod is that the units have their own audio-processing chips so delivering higher quality sound and can automatically detect if they are in user’s ear.
- AirPods connect to your phone by just opening the case.
- iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will come with regular earbuds that use the devices’ lightning port. Good point, huh!
Apple Watch Series 2
Quite interesting things happening with Apple Watch series 2, the Apple event exhibited Apple ‘s S2 Watch made out of ceramic.
- Apple Watch is no more only fashion accessory but an exercise equipment! They have finally realized the fitness market.
- Apple Watch S2 is now waterproof upto 50 meters.
- Has in-built GPS for location services.
And guess what Mario – Super Mario Run – (along with the Pokémon Go) is coming to iPhone games from Nintendo.
And last not the least, iOS 10 is coming on September 13th, which is supposed to bring major iOS update, so keep checking that software update item on your iPhone’s settings app.
