According to Google Webmasters site, +1 button will let your content readers recommend it on Google search. It will be on one or the other way related with the Google’s Social circles – sooner or later.

Installing Google +1 Button on WordPress blogs, Joomla, Drupal and other websites is rather easy. Just follow these two steps and you are done. Codes here are for standard +1 button of 24 px size.
