Nepal is going into Direct to Home (DTH) Television services in June 2010, when Home TV plans to commence its service. If home tv is coming this June, it will be Nepal’s first DTH TV. This is just a contradiction that other such service providers are also claiming to be among the fist; My CG claimed on February.
HomeTV, full time infotainment, claims HD quality on your TV screens with movies on demand, channels on demand, personal video recording. However, the Nepalese Consumers, are yet to see since consumers are only told not services not about the real services for consuming.

I hear hometv has some problem, they are coming end of august only. What did you guys do with the Unity Group? Hope you guys come earlier and not let the hometv people beat you.

it is great to have new tech in our country. There was some news on Kantipur last week, There has been some technical set back discussed about Home Tv.
I personally think we consumer of Nepal do not behave rationally regarding consumer behavior. I personally request all of us to have proper information as consumer and should act rationally.

Now the HOME TV has already been launched.It is good that DTH technology has been started in Nepal and hats off to HOME TV..Last week, we had visited Earth Station of HomeTV situated at Bhainsipati..We did some kind of educational tour in the station.we were overwhelmed by their friendly behavior..we even saw the DTH broadcasting in their TV and surprisingly, the video quality was awesome…
I don’t know why Dish Nepal is delaying to jump into market..They need to implement soon rather than focusing more on advertisement and prize stuffs…
