Number of Village Development Committees (VDCs) in Nepal has been gradually decreasing from 4 thousand plus VDCs to 3,915 to 3,625 and now the total VDCs in Nepal number just 3,276. This because VDCs are continually merged to form new municipalities as an aim to increase urbanized settlements in Nepal.

Prevoiusly my vdc was saranamati-5 of jhapa district but currently i donot know what has saranamati-5 been renamed,
Excuse me, but where can I find a list of all of the nearly 4,000 VDC’s (or village development committees) that existed from about 1990 before they were grouped eventually to the near-about 750 local government units called “local level body units” that came into effect in 2017?
