Recently Lenovo has declared the upcoming of a new tablet equipped with the new Microsoft Windows 8 operating system. This tablet has a 10.1 inch display and thickness of 9.8mm and has an optional digitizer pen. The price has not been mentioned yet but the release date is set on October to match to launch of Windows.
The tablet has been named ThinkPad Tablet2 which runs on Intel Atom processor and is equipped with Pro version of Windows8. The tablet has built in full-size USB and HDMI ports. Apart from that the optional digitizer pen works as a good note taking device for hand-written form. As every other device it has front and rear cameras. The tablet has both 3G and 4G models available for purchase.
Lenovo is in fact pitching the device as a sort of middle-ground between work and play, claiming it will help manage “the increasing overlap between personal and work life today”.
It is filled with a number of security features including a fingerprint reader, IT manageability technologies, and corporate level service and support. This latest gadget will replace the existing Android-powered ThinkPad tablet. The Ivy Bridge Intel i5 CPU in the Surface as well makes it smart. Good thing is, there are signs that we can purchase this ThinkPad Tablet 2 in Kathmandu soon.
