Microsoft Nepal has released Microsoft Live Hotmail for Nepali customers along with Microsoft Office 2010. With the new Hotmail, Microsoft Corp. focused on three simple things to help make the inbox more efficient, providing tools to dramatically cut down on all the clutter in the inbox, helping save time doing the most common things and making it easier to view, share, and edit Microsoft Office documents in the cloud.
The new Hotmail tags junk mail so that when you find a message in your junk mail folder, you know how it ended up there and can subsequently take action to keep it from happening to similar messages in the future. By going beyond just filtering spam, the new Hotmail has features to help combat spammer infrastructure, which can make sending spam more difficult, and helps cut down on spam.
While reading an e-mail from someone, it is quick and easy to check other e-mails received in the past from the same sender. It’s as simple and intuitive as hovering over their name and selecting “Find e-mail.” Many consumers who use mobile phones as their primary way to access e-mail and the Internet — and even those who do most of their e-mail on the PC — demand a robust email experience from just about anywhere they’re connected to the Internet.
With the new Hotmail, the mobile experience is optimised for rich browsers and touch, so that the user experience feels seamless on the latest phones. This new security feature is designed to further protect accounts when signed in on public computers, such as in Internet cafes, airports and coffee shops. By using a Single-Use Code, consumers will not have to type the password into a public computer, thereby helping to prevent it from being stolen by key-loggers and the like.
Microsoft Corporation announced the worldwide availability of Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft Visio 2010 and Microsoft Project 2010 in Nepal on June 15 at about the same time as the rest of the world. Nepal has also officially launched Microsoft Office 2010 at a function attended by over 1,000 people. A mix of people from NGO, INGO, banking, corporate, Microsoft Partners and Microsoft Student Partners had come for the launch ceremony.
Considering there are approximately 1.8 billion Internet users worldwide, Microsoft and its channel partners see an incredible opportunity to deliver Office 2010 to existing and new Office customers around the world.
From a survey of Office 2010 beta users, Microsoft found that 75 per cent say they plan to buy Office 2010 within six months. The Office 2010 beta program had more than 9 million downloads — more than six times the size of the 2007 Microsoft Office beta program — indicating strong consumer interest in Office 2010. Create great looking documents and presentations, connect and work together more simply, get things done from virtually anywhere, are some of the new features available in Office 2010.
Office Mobile 2010 also is available from Windows® Phone Marketplace for all Windows Mobile 6.5 phones. People using Office Mobile 2010 can perform lightweight editing of Office documents and take notes on the go, or work on Office documents stored on their phone or attached to an e-mail. Office 2010 is available in 10 languages and will expand to 94 languages.
