Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) organized a one day workshop and general discussion on IT Policy and Industrial Policy in Kathmandu on June 15th at Hotel del’ Annapurna. The program was remarked by CAN representatives and officials from Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and High Level Commission for Information Technology (HLCIT).
The program focused on IT Policy 2067 on the first half and merged with Industrial Policy 2067 later. Binay Bohara, President ISPAN, Lochan Lal Amatya, President ITPF, Mr Sagar Dev Lakhe, representative from Executive Committee, CAN explained about the policies that that Government lately formulated.
The Open Discussion was followed by free Computer distribution program. Remote villages, schools and disables were rewarded with computer.
