Windows 10 brings new features including Microsoft Edge – the new Internet Browser

Following the great response to the office 2010 beta and the success of Windows 7, we predict Microsoft Office 2010 will be the biggest consumer release of office ever
Technology never stops evolving! And in tune with the changing trends and time, Microsoft Corp announced the worldwide availability of Microsoft office, visio and projmicrosoftoffice2010logoect 2010 in Nepal on June 15, 2010. Seven products, including Microsoft office outlook, OneNote, Excel, PowerPoint, web apps, were demonstrated during the inauguration. Moreover, the new version of office is available in 10 languages, with plans to expand up to 94 languages.
The whole new version of MS 2010 has special features, such as power point not restricted to office premises and only requiring browser and internet. “My favorite is the OneNote, which is a digital version of spiral notebook, which makes it easier for the user to search for a particular note among the many he or she might have saved,” said Allen Bailochan Tuladhar, country manager of Microsoft MDP Nepal. He added that the voice recording is automatically transcribed in the digital canvas.
Furthermore, to facilitate easy use of the application, a game known as Ribbon hero has been installed. “In today’s fast paced world, people often do not have the time to learn how to use new products. This game makes it easier for them to know how to use the new version, and it’s more like learning while having fun,” said Tuladhar.
According to a press release issued here, Stephen Elop, president, Microsoft business division has said, “Working with major retail partners and PC makers, we’ve made dramatic changes in the way we deliver office 2010 to give consumers variety, making it easier than ever to unlock the power of office on new and existing PCs.” The product can also be purchased with the most popular desktops and laptops from leading PC makers including Acer Inc, Asus, Dell Inc, HP, Lenovo, Samsung and Sony Corp. Moreover, for the first time, people can purchase a Product Key Card at retail to activate Office 2010 preloaded on new PCs. For those who want to download Office 2010 direct from Office.com for an existing PC, the new ‘Click-to-Run’ technology will have them up and running within a matter of minutes.
As per the release, Mike Hurt, senior vice president of  comScore said, “Recent comScore Tech Metrix™ data confirms that more than one billion computers worldwide have Office software installed, making it the most widely used productivity suite in the world.” More than 100 million PCs will be shipped with Office 2010 preloaded next year. It can easily be activated with the purchase of either office home and student 2010 or office home and business 2010 or office professional 2010.
Elop has further said, “Following the great response to the office 2010 beta and the success of Windows 7, we predict this will be the biggest consumer release of office ever”.
Founded in 1975, Microsoft (Nasdaq “MSFT”) is the worldwide leader in software, services and solutions that help people and businesses realise their full potential. Office 2010 represents a great growth opportunity for Microsoft and its partners. And the adoption of 2010 is expected to be quick, as 25 millions people were already using the new version before the launch and 14,000 among them were Nepalis.
For those interested in updating the software, a free trail version can be downloaded from microsoft.com.
Microsoft has made some M enhancements considering costumer’s inputs: · Presentations won’t be monotonous anymore because of the exciting features such as video and photo editing in MS power point 2010. Even extensive text effects and table formatting options in word 2010 can be added. Important trends in data are revealed with sparklines in excel 2010. OneNote 2010 makes everything one needs simple to find, organize and share.
Stay connected without hassle with advanced e-mail management and calendar features in outlook 2010 and the new outlook social connector. Also working with others becomes efficient with new co-authoring in word, PowerPoint, and OneNote 2010.
With office 2010 and the office web apps (the online companions to word, power point, excel and one note) one can save documents directly to Windows Live SkyDrive, view, edit and share those documents in the cloud. Nonetheless, the office web apps’ valuable content and formatting are not compromised while moving between the PC, phone and browser.
Windows® provides office mobile 2010, a phone marketplace for all Windows Mobile 6.5 phones. Additional tasks can also be done like; lightweight editing of office documents, work on the stored documents on the phone, and taking notes.
